  About the B.Pharm Lateral Entry: B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) is a 3 year program where the student gets to study different subjects related to Pharma industry. Some of the topics include pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy practice pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutics , and pharmacognosy. Usha Martin University offers B.Pharm Lateral Entry course program in 3 year by directly taking admission in 2nd year. The main aim of these programs is to give a pathway for diploma holders who can earn a  bachelor’s degree in pharmacy . The coursework is designed in way such that students can save time and complete their degree in a shorter duration compared to the traditional four-year B.Pharm program. First convocation of Usha Martin University ( top University in Ranchi ), was held on 4 May 2023 at the University premises. In this convocation, degrees were awarded to 588 students. The Honourable Governor of Jharkhand, Mr. C.P. Radhakrishnan graced the convocation ceremony as the Chief Guest and presented Gold Medals to meritorious students. Padma Shri, Professor Anand Kumar also added special charm in the convocation ceremony. The Chairman of Usha Martin University, Mr. Hemant Goyal welcomed eminent dignitaries with warm gesture. Mr. C.P. Radhakrishnan, The Honourable Governor of Jharkhand; Padma Shri, Professor Anand Kumar; and the Vice Chancellor of University, Professor Madhulika Kaushik delivered the convocation address wherein they informed the gathering about different courses, industry-academia collaboration, and research and development work. They advised students to adhere to Truth, to always follow the righteous path and to enlarge his knowledge through continuous self-ed
