NSS REPORT:

National Service Scheme is an educational programme with primary focus on the development of personality of students through community service. The NSS Unit of Usha Martin University, Ranchi has 300 volunteers. The activities and programmes of NSS Unit of the university aim the overall development of students.

A brief outline of “Independence Day”, on 15-08-2023 is given below:

 

Organized “Independence Day”on 15.08.2023

NSS wing (national service scheme) and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA)of Usha Martin University, Ranchi has celebrated 77th Independence Day on 15.08.2022. On the occasion of 77thIndependence day our Pro Chancellor Prof S C Garg unfurlsthe National flag with the national anthem. In this occasion All this dignitarylightens the lamp and initiated todays cultural programme.  During the programme, Prof S C Garg, Dr Anil Kumar Mishra, Registrarand Prof Himanshu Narayan, Dean Academy motivates ourstudents and staff by their inspirational speech on patriotism and encouraged for continuous social work. Our NSS volunteer performed parade and was commanded by Hawaldar K KRanjan, Army Service Core. In this whole week NSS units of UMU organised several cultural eventsand mega tree plantation drive (Meri MaatiMeraDesh) in UMU campus and adopted villages to celebrate ICONIC WEEK on the occasion of AzadikaAmritMahotsav.

Mr ShashankBhuyan, Mr Samir Kumar Ojha along with staff of UMU, NSS volunteers and other students of UMU participated in thisevent. Programme has concluded with the worshiping our mother India with national anthem.
